Real journeys. Real experiences.
Every safari is different, and so is every traveller. These are the words of some of the people who have travelled through Namibia with me — from carefully planned journeys to days where we simply followed what the landscape, people and wildlife offered us.

Namibia the way you’d never find it on your own
In July and August 2026 we spent just over four weeks travelling with Toine through Namibia and Botswana. From Windhoek via De Riet, Purros, Opuwo and Etosha to the Caprivi (Divundu, Kongola), then on through Botswana to Linyanti, Savuti, Khwai and Xakanaxa, and back to Windhoek.
What makes Toine special is that he doesn’t just tick off the sights. He knows the highlights, but lets each day unfold. In the very first days, a family of elephants walked past our car in a dry riverbed, close enough to touch. Thrilling and moving at the same time. You can’t plan moments like that. They happen because someone takes the time and knows where to look.
As an organiser he is thorough. We first sat down with him a year before departure. Everything was arranged well in advance and in detail: the day-by-day route, the vehicle, the campsites, even advice on what to pack. We never had to worry about a thing. Yet it never felt like an organised tour. We drove ourselves, checked in with Toine along the way and set the pace together.
His background as a biologist and photographer shows in everything. His enthusiasm for tracking down wildlife is contagious. The way he talks about the animals, the landscape, the Himba and their culture changes the way you see things.
And Namibia itself is breathtaking. Beyond the wildlife, it was the silence, the colours of sunrise and sunset, the night skies, the vastness and the people that left a lasting impression. The part of the day we remember most: sitting around the campfire together in the evening, sharing everything we’d experienced.
If you want to truly experience Namibia rather than just see it: travel with Toine.

Namibië 2024
In 2024, together with our guide Toine and his lovely wife Mega, we experienced an incredible adventure in Namibia, travelling in two large 4x4s with rooftop tents.
Everything was perfectly organised by Toine. He was already waiting for us at the airport, and our vehicle was ready for us as well. He had taken care of all the groceries for our adventure, so we could set off straight away.
Before the trip, we had discussed together what we definitely wanted to do and see. Toine knows exactly where to go to turn a visit into a real experience. The hardest part is actually choosing what to see, because Namibia is such a beautiful and diverse country — but that is something you can leave to Toine.
The trip was organised down to the last detail, and you couldn’t wish for a better guide. He knows exactly when and where you need to be. As a result, we saw all the animals you hope to see. Because he knows wildlife behaviour so well, you can also get genuinely close to the animals while still feeling safe.
On top of that, Toine is a great photographer who takes beautiful photographs with his long lenses, so afterwards you can even create a wonderful photo book to remember the trip by.
All in all, it was a wonderful journey. Many thanks to Toine and Mega for taking such good care of us.
